We aim to visit all seven lakes of Haft Kul when road, weather, and timing conditions allow. In spring or after heavy rain, access to the upper lakes can depend on road conditions. Your guide will adjust the pace so you see the best available viewpoints safely.
The Cascade · Lower to Upper
Seven mountain lakes, seven shades of water, strung along the Shing valley. We follow them from the lowest to the highest, stopping for views, tea, and photos along the way.
The first lake of the route: clear turquoise water and a gentle, welcoming entrance into the Haft Kul valley. Warm enough for a quick swim in summer.

A calm, mirror-like surface set among slopes and orchards. Named for the limited sun it gets deep in the narrow valley, its water shifts blue to violet.

Crossing the Border
Your driver picks you up in Samarkand and takes you to the Jartepa-Sarazm crossing. After passport control, the Tajik side of the trip is handled by our local team. We coordinate the handoff, help you understand the process, and make the crossing as smooth as possible.
