Common questions about our tours and trekking in the Fann Mountains

Accommodation is in local homestays or guesthouses near the 4th lake (Nofin). Rooms are simple but clean, with mattresses, blankets, and pillows provided. Meals are home-cooked by the host family. Bring a sleeping bag if you prefer your own bedding.

Yes, swimming is possible in several of the lakes, especially Marguzor Lake (6th lake). However, the water is cold even in summer (around 10–15°C), so it is more of a refreshing dip than a long swim.

There are no permanent toilets on the trail. Simple outdoor (camp-style) toilets are used near campsites. Toilet paper should be brought personally.

Hotels and guesthouses have toilets and showers. Near Iskanderkul Lake, only basic outdoor toilets are available and showers are not available.

Summer is warm in valleys and cooler in mountains. Sudden showers are possible, especially near Iskanderkul. Bring layers and a light rain jacket.

Mobile signal and internet are good in cities (Dushanbe, Khujand, Penjikent). Coverage is limited in the Iskanderkul lakes region.
